Introduction

Basic principle
The inductance and capacitance of the whip type antenna are distributed in various parts of the antenna, when the high-frequency voltage is connected to the antenna, there is a high-frequency current flowing in the antenna, and the alternating electric field and magnetic field will be generated around the antenna, because the antenna is an open LC loop, so that the change of electromagnetic field is exposed to space, the alternating change of electric field and magnetic field will propagate outward from near and far, forming electromagnetic waves.

Usage
Whip style antennas are the most common type of unipolar radio antenna. This omnidirectional antenna has less directionality, but has a wide radiation range and is easier to receive signals, which is usually used for mobile radio communications. The gain is typically between 0 and 2 dBi.
Debugging methods
(1) First reduce the coupling between the whip type antenna and the output stage LC loop, and the specific method is to increase the distance between the primary and secondary LC loops.
(2) The length of the word antenna (if there is induction, pull the antenna out the longest, adjust the inductance), observe the change of field strength meter and ammeter indication. As the antenna resonates, the ammeter indication should increase and the field strength meter indicates the presence of a peak point, at which point the antenna length (or the inductance of the inductive coil) is considered appropriate.
(3) Increase the coupling of the antenna and the output LC loop of the power amplifier stage (move the distance of the primary stage of the LC loop closer), with the gradual increase of coupling, the power amplifier stage moves from the overvoltage state to the critical state, and the ammeter and field meter indications increase again until the peak point indicated by the field strength meter. At this time, if the coupling is continued to increase, the radiated power will decrease, and the field strength meter indicates that it will not increase but decrease.
