Introduction
The microwave switch, also known as the RF switch, controls the conversion of the microwave signal channel. An RF (radio frequency) is a device that routes high-frequency signals through a transmission path. RF switches are widely used in microwave test systems for signal routing between instruments and DUTs. By combining switches into a switch matrix system, signals from multiple instruments can be routed to a single or multiple DUTs.
Principle
A microwave inductive switch is a mobile object detector designed by using the principle of the Doppler effect. It detects whether the position of the object moves in a non-contact way, and then generates the corresponding switch operation. This product has a strong anti-RF interference ability and is not affected by temperature, humidity, light, airflow, dust, etc. It can be installed in a certain thickness of plastic, glass, wood, and other non-metallic shells without affecting its detection function technology. It can be very convenient to apply equipment control, environmental auxiliary light source control, underground parking lot, passage lighting, and other fields.
Function
The microwave switch utilizes the PIN tube to present approximately on or off impedance characteristics under DC positive and reverse bias voltages, and realizes the conversion of the control microwave signal channel.
The DC volt-ampere characteristics of PIN diodes are the same as those of PN junction diodes, but there are fundamental differences in the microwave frequency band. Since the total charge of the I layer of the PIN diode is mainly generated by the bias current rather than the instantaneous value of the microwave current, it only presents a linear resistance to the microwave signal. This resistance value is determined by the DC bias, the resistance value is small when forward biased, close to a short circuit, and the resistance value is large when reverse biased, close to an open circuit.
Therefore, PIN diodes do not have nonlinear rectification effects on microwave signals, which is fundamentally different from general diodes, so they are very suitable for microwave control devices.

Depending on the power, it can penetrate walls with different thicknesses and is not affected by the environment, temperature, dust, etc. The detection distance will not be shortened to 37 degrees. A microwave inductive switch is an ideal substitute for the infrared switch.
