Shaft Pin Load Cell

Introduction

The shaft pin load cell is actually a hollow section circular shaft bearing the shear force. The double shear resistance strain gauge is pasted on the center of the groove in the central hole. There are two bridge measurement methods, namely, the double shear resistance strain gauges at the two grooves form a Wheatstone bridge together, or they form a Wheatstone bridge separately and then they are connected in parallel for measurement.

Features

The axle pin type load cell has the following characteristics:

1. The elastic element is an integral hollow section circular shaft, which is compact in structure, simple in geometric shape, and easy to process with high dimension and form and position accuracy;

2. The hollow section has strong torsion and bending resistance, and the stress at the neutral axis of the pin is the largest;

3. When the hollow section pin bears vertical and horizontal bending, the section with zero bending moment is in the same section;

4. When designing a large capacity axle pin type load cell, it is installed on the axial center hole, and the double shear resistance strain gauge can be pasted in the hole, which can not only be well protected, but also implement the vacuum filling inert gas sealing process;

5. It is easy to assemble and use with relevant bearing parts. The disadvantage of the axle pin type weighing sensor is that the production process is difficult and requires more special tools and equipment.

Detection

The shaft pin load cell itself is an integral force measuring element, that is, it has no protective shell, no loading head and no bearing base. The axle pin type load cell is mainly used in ships and cranes, and it is most common to assemble a detection array or configure a wireless transmission module to achieve wireless detection in coordination with the U-shaped lifting ring. Because the axle pin is directly assembled with the lifting ring and hook, not only the bearing shell with complex structure is omitted, but also the assembly accuracy can be improved.
