The most commonly used thermistors are platinum thermistors and copper thermistors.

RTDs are made of platinum, copper or nickel and have a repeatable resistance temperature relationship with operating temperatures ranging from - 200 ° C to+850 ° C. The RTD contains a resistor whose value varies with temperature. For many years, it has been used for temperature measurement in laboratories and industrial processes, and its accuracy, repeatability and stability have been widely recognized.

Principle

Resistance temperature sensor measures the temperature by using the characteristic that the resistance of the material changes with the temperature change The temperature sensing element of the thermal resistance is made of thin metal wires that are hooked and double wound on the framework made of insulating materials. When there is a temperature gradient in the measured medium, the measured temperature is the average temperature in the dielectric layer within the range of the temperature sensing element.
