The Drop-In Isolator adopts the isolation principle of linear optocoupler to convert and output the input signal. Input, output and working power supply are isolated from each other, which is especially suitable for matching with equipment and instruments that need electrical isolation. Isolator, also known as signal isolator, is an important part of industrial control system.

Our Drop-In Isolators are manufactured with high quality materials to ensure optimum performance over the temperature range. All Drop-In Isolators are temperature cycled from -50°C to +100°C prior to final test. Drop-In Isolators with phase matching, counter clockwise rotation, higher reverse power capability along with required intermodulation specifications can be provided upon request.

Power supply mode of Isolator

The common power supply modes of isolators include independent power supply, loop power supply and output loop power supply.

Isolators with independent power supply:

Independent 20~35vdc DC power supply is required. The advantage of this method is high isolation transmission accuracy; The power supply, input and output are completely isolated, and the power supply of the multi-channel system does not need to be isolated, which can ensure high anti-interference performance, and the input signal can be converted to other types of models.

Circuit powered isolator:

In the actual industrial monitoring system, DCS, PLC or other display instruments with internal power supply of cards are more and more widely used. Loop powered isolators often cannot meet the requirements of these cards for high signal isolation and transmission accuracy and high distribution voltage of two-wire transmitters. Therefore, the output circuit powered isolator not only retains the superior performance of the independent power supply isolator, but also meets the requirements of the output circuit power supply interface.
