Introduction

Characteristic

3DB Hybrid has the characteristics of small insertion loss, high suppression, small in band fluctuation, large isolation and small standing wave ratio.

The insertion loss of 3DB bridge is 3.2, the isolation is 25, and the standing wave is average. But there are two output ports. For example, two 30 inputs and two 27 outputs. The output port of the 3dB hybrid coupler can also be determined at will. In fact, two in, one out, one in, two out, two in and two out are both OK. Connect one more port to a load with enough power. In fact, those not connected to the load are disconnected from the factory, which has the same effect as those connected to another load. However, only 3dB can be used when the standing wave ratio is required to be high. In addition, the bearing power of the device should also be considered.

Principle

3DB Hybrid is a kind of directional coupler. When used as a power synthesizer, the two input signals are isolated from each other, while the coupling output and the through output are mutually interchangeable If it is a two-way output without considering the loss, the input signal power is divided into two outputs. When used as a single port output, the other output port must be connected with a matching power load to absorb the output power of the port, otherwise the transmission characteristics of the system will be seriously affected. At the same time, additional 3dB loss will also be brought, which will have an impact on the cost and reliability of the active part of the system application.

Notes for use

Pay attention to the following points when using:

1. The double arm electric bridge shall be handled with care. Before using the electric bridge, the wiring shall be conducted in strict accordance with the method in the instruction manual.

2. The double arm bridge is used to measure the low resistance. The resistance to be measured must be connected to the bridge according to the four terminal method. The current connector and the voltage connector should be connected separately. The connection point should ensure reliable contact.

3. Before using the bridge, turn on the power supply to preheat for five minutes. When adjusting the bridge balance, try to avoid excessive swing of the galvanometer pointer. Before formally measuring the resistance, use a multimeter to judge the resistance value of the measured resistance, and correctly select the magnification according to the value given by the multimeter.

4. Pay attention to adjusting the zero position of the galvanometer. Adjust the sensitivity to the minimum first, and gradually increase the measurement sensitivity during operation.

5. The measurement operation shall be as short as possible to avoid measurement error or endangering the safety of the instrument caused by long time power on operation of large working current.
